Quickstart Guide for Newbies

By QueenV

Introduction

When first starting Vindictus, you will most likely be progressing solo through levels 1-110. There’s really not much to it, beside the fact it serves as the ’tutorial’ portion of the game.

Vindictus is nothing like this at all. At levels 110+, you will be experiencing the true vindictus, ripped from its former shell. With 8 man raids, difficult yet engaging content, and a community that looks after eachother!

Anyways, going back to the tutorial portion of the game, it is imperative that you learn and understand your character before you going into the world of Vindictus. Otherwise, when you start experiencing party-related content in Vindictus you will be having a very rough time!

The “Tutorial” of Vindictus:

  • Feel free to use potions! It is completely normal to use them as you begin to explore and learn more about your character.
    • Do not use ‘Exquisite HP Potions’ for daily raid content, as you will need to save them for weekly content such as Redeemers or Space Time Dungeons.
  • Use Resenlian’s Wings to help navigate through the story! This will tremendously reduce the amount of walking in between points of interest!
  • If you’re skipping the story, generally you’re looking at 8-9 hours of leveling!

The Vindictus Experience

Once you’ve hit level 110, unlocked the Tree of Life Redeemer, and reached the story that requires you to complete the battle: Royal Castle Topaz Hall, congratulations, you can now start to enjoy Vindictus!

Royal Castle Topaz Hall

Daily Content:

  • Daily Raids (Atleast 10 Coreboosted Raids)
    • May take time to build your character enough to be able to do all 10 battles.

Weekly Content

  • 8 Redeemer Battles
    • You will want to complete each redeemer 2x a week.
      • For Stats (+20 Crit | +900 ATK SURPLUS)
      • 800K base gold completion. (Ideal pace is 10-15mins per redeemer.)
      • Chance to obtain Mysterious & Abysaal Shards for ATK SURPLUS.
      • Redeemer Seals
  • Space Time Distortions
    • You will not have to worry about completing these for a while, as it is very time consuming to be elgibile for these particular battles.
    • More cost-efficient to wait until you acquire the associated materials from Events.
    • Requires 1,000 ATK Surplus.
      • Does not include ATK Surplus gained from Pantheon Vanguard

Monthly Content

  • Reverent Tower
    • You get 7 attempts each week, and it resets at the end of each month.
    • I recommend you start earlier, as there is no redos! If you die, it counts as 1 attempt!

Doing Daily Raids

To sum things up, it’s highly likely that you’ll be utilizing the “Quick Battle Menu”(Keybind: K) to navigate through the story any further, as other means may be time inefficient. However, as you may have come to realize that you may be unable to create/join parties as you do not meet requirements!

Example of Missing Quick Battle Reqs

Meeting Quick Battle Stat Requirements

In order to meet these requirements, you will have to alter your equipment. When first starting out it will likely consist of:

[ADDITIONAL DAMAGE]

Enhance your ’lvl 100. Ardri Equipment (Weapons/Armour)’ with Enhancement Runes obtained via the Exchange Shop/Play Guide.

  • You will be missing a little bit to start the first 110 raids. If you complete stage 1 of the playguide, the rune for your weapon will get you there.
  • Alternatively if you haven’t done redeemers for stage 1 yet, you can get 2 +13 enhancement runes from the seal of bravery shop. Don’t buy more than that because you will easily get the other 3 you need with ardri seals when you start raiding!
  • Also a warning for new players, don’t try to upgrade the 110 weapon/armor the normal way, always use guaranteed runes from the play guide, seal of bravery shop, and ardri seal shop!

[COUNTERFORCE]

Enhance your lvl 110 rings.

  • Requires AP & Gold
  • Generally, you’ll get 2 CF per level.
  • When you acquire higher level equipment, the base Counter Force will be higher.

[BALANCE/CRITICAL RATE]

Utilizing Power Infusions from ‘+1 Balance/Critical Element Stones’.

  • Obtained via the Exchange Shop/Play Guide
  • These stones are only applicable on accessories and weapons.
  • Purchase the cheapest necklace off the Marketplace, so you can utilize the element stones on them also.
  • Following this guide, generally means you will be left with 1 balance required for Great Ministry. It is attainable via the next method:

[BALANCE/CRITICAL RATE]

Obtain Ein Lacher Titles. (max: +5 bal/+2 crit)

  • This will be critical (pun intended) in being able to participate in lvl 115 content.
  • May take time to obtain the stats, but it makes great practice for your character!

[CRITICAL RATE]

Ideally, you want to complete Redeemer Content as it can provide up to +20 Criticals upon max completion, however, if you are unable to do so due to either the lack of story redeemers and you wish to progress and only require only a few critical, feel free to utilize critical element stones from the exchange shop otherwise!

There are two ways to meet these requirements for newcomers/returning players:

  1. Via the Play Guide alt text

The downside is that the play guide may require you to participate in content such as Redeemers, which can be hard to come by. However, it is imperative that you go through the play guide, as it contains +13/+14/+15 weapon enhancement runes, which are not attainable elsewhere!

Ideally, you want to complete these missions when you find the opportunity arrives!

  1. Via the exchange shop

Ardri Seal Shop - Earned by completing various level 110 raids.

It’s likely you’ll be utilizing the exchange shop to meet requirements when the play guide is not an option.

NOTE: Reforge Exclusive refers to that item’s purpose being specifically for reforging. Otherwise, typically the item can be used for crafting also.

Seal of Bravery Shop (Recommended for +1 critical stones, otherwise utilize the Ardri Seal Shop)

The Seal of Bravery Shop is a great way to meet requirements when the other methods of progression won’t quite work (ie. no ardri seals, lacking crit, etc.)

Other ways to progress in content

Aside from Quick Battles, there are other ways to participate in raid content, which pretty much consistent of a Normal Battles and/or Circuit Battles.

However these options may also contain host-determined barriers of entry and/or otherwise be difficult to find and successfully participate in.

I highly recommend utilizing the Quick Battle feature, if time is a concern for you.

CONCLUSION

If you’re looking for an active guild that runs Redeemer Content, then join OnlyKittens
